RIBS & Amphibious

SMD has designed a number of RIBs for the superyacht tender, commercial/patrol and amphibious markets. Each of those sectors has its own exacting standards and criteria. Superyacht tenders, for example, have constraints on stowage space, hook weight and of course quality of finish, while patrol craft technical specifications are stringent in the contract speed, full load displacement and compliance with Classification Society regulations.

The amphibious craft add a new dimension to both those, with the added mass of the amphibious system being incorporated, reliability being a high priority for both superyacht owners and special forces and the space claim of the system onboard and the overall dimensions.
